Hamilton Beach Commercial Invents a New Way to Serve up Perfectly Smooth Drinks

Glen Allen, VA – Hamilton Beach Commercial engineers recently invented the Wave~Action™ system, which incorporates brand new jar, blade and motor configuration. “Typically, blenders mix in a circular motion, causing ice chunks or other ingredients to struggle to reach the blades. This creates dead zones or pockets where ingredients just sit,” said Jason Reed, Senior Product Manager for Hamilton Beach Commercial. “The Wave~Action™ system changes the direction of the mixture from top to bottom and forces ingredients down into the blades, so the customer is served a thick and creamy drink with no ice chunks.” The Wave~Action™ system has been incorporated into the design of the new Rio™ blender and works three ways: H – Horsepower. The Rio™ blender has a powerful 1/2 HP motor. This allows the blender to thoroughly mix a 16oz drink in 20 seconds flat. B – Blade Pitch. The pitch of the Rio™ blades ensure superior mixing and helps force all of the mixture into the blades. C - Container Configuration. The container is completely redesigned to allow the blender to uniformly mix top to bottom - not in a circle. This causes a “wave” that perfectly mixes every time.
